Founded with the vision of empowering marginalized communities, Abhilasha Samiti works to uplift rural populations by promoting education, ensuring healthcare access, empowering women, and fostering sustainable livelihoods. Our focus lies in transforming rural lives by addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality through active community participation and sustainable solutions.
Empowering Rural Communities for a Sustainable Future
Our development activities span across key sectors crucial for rural transformation. In Education, we focus on establishing schools in underserved areas and promoting tribal education. Under Health and Family Welfare, we organize medical camps, promote sanitation, and raise awareness about maternal, child, and reproductive health. For Sustainable Livelihood, we facilitate self-help groups, irrigation projects, land and water conservation, and skill-based farmer training in horticulture and aquaculture.
Registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860, Abhilasha Samiti has been actively working since 2007–2008 (formally since 2019–2020) across districts like Pithoragarh, Champawat, Almora, and Bageshwar in Uttarakhand. Our mission is to enhance rural livelihoods, conserve biodiversity, combat human trafficking, and promote social equity through awareness, education, and empowerment.
